Admission Profile

  • Applicants must be graduated from a bachelor of geosciences, natural or exact science or engineering, with solid knowledge in physics, mathematics, biology and chemistry. Scientific and technological motivation of the applicants is recommended.

Graduate Profile

  • The graduate will be able to apply his knowledge to solve well-defined issues using scientific methods and technology of the border region in which CICESE is located, to develop original research and to contribute to the training of future generations of geoscientists in different degree levels and graduation.

    The graduate is prepared the to the fundamentals of Environmental Geosciences, Applied Geophysics, Geology and Seismology to address natural processes occurring on the surface or close to it, as well as the impact of these processes in society.

    The graduate is able to contribute to the solution of social and scientific impact issues thanks to his solid background in Geology, Applied Geophysics, Seismology and Environmental Geosciences. He successfully participates in the public and private sectors with an entrepreneurial attitude and interdisciplinary cooperation. His training allows him to continue doctoral studies in any national or international institution.
